Creative Inspirations - Challenge 82 - Sketch

Evening all

Just a quick post from me as I want to get this challenge in before it finishes tonight.

I loved the sketch for this challenge and thought it suited this stamp rather well.  The background papers are from craftwork cards and are the foiled ones.  Also I have used my Martha Stewart snowflake border behind the snowman image.

The stamp I have used is a cling rubber stamp and is called "Snow Couple", it is also made by Stampendous.

The snowflakes have been cut using my Marianne snowflake dies out of glitter card.  I have used more than one snowflake and layered them up to give a lovely effect.

PBSC - Week 123 - Sketch by Debby

Afternoon all,

I did not think I would ever finish this card as it has been on the go for about 3 days on and off, well here is my attempt at this weeks challenge: -

I think I must have been in a green mood when I was designing the card, especially because of the amount of green I have used.

Thank you Debby for a fabulous sketch to follow, I decided that I wanted to use my PB stamp with the cat and tulips and I have had this image coloured in for a while.

Unfortunately I cannot remember what colour promarkers I used as I think I coloured this image in when we were on the Isle of Man last year.

The flowers I have used are ones that I have made with a few swirly bits added to the background for extra effect.  If you would like to know how to make the flowers please see the tutorial on the right hand side of my blog.

The greeting I have used is from my stash but I cannot remember where it is from or who makes it as I have had it for years.

Another Pet Sympathy card

Well another day and I have had to make another pet sympathy card.  Don't get me wrong I don't mind making them but in all my years of crafting yesterday was the first time I have made one and then my husband Lee phoned to ask me to make another as the Lad that works for him lost his lovely little pooch over the weekend.

Truly Scrumptious - Challenge 43 - Sketch & Easel Card

Evening All

After a very busy day here is my entry for this weeks challenge and it is the first time I have done this challenge so please be gentle (lol)

The challenge was to create a card using a sketch with the option of turning the card into an easel card and since these are my favourite type of cards at the moment I did not need much arm twisting to take part in the challenge.

A close up of the top part of my card so that you can see all elements of the sketch.  The backing papers are some free papers I have out of one of the magazines I buy, but I forgot to keep a record so I cannot tell you whether they are from this year of last.

I have chosen to use one of the new Tilda stamps called "Tilda wants a hug" which can be found here and I have coloured her in with my promarkers but being a bit dizzy today and forgot to write down the colours I have used, oh well at least she looks lovely in red.

The snowflakes have been die cut using the Marianne snowflake dies using glittered white card.  I have then layered 3 snowflakes on top of each other to give this lovely effect.

These lovely little poinsettia's have been die cut using the mini poinsettia dies from Marianne which I must say I am loving at the moment.  These are definitely my crafting essentials for christmas.

The greeting on the bottom of the easel card is from my stash and for the life of me I cannot remember where they are from as I have had them for a few years.

LOTV - Challenge 69 - Sketch by Bev

Afternoon everyone.

I thought I would have a go at doing the LOTV challenge today as I had one of the new christmas stamps that I had not inked up yet.

Unfortunately I cannot tell you where my background papers came from as they have been in one of my draws for at least a couple of years and the main red paper is actually velvet paper which I could sit and stroke for hours as it is just lovely.

The image I have used is called "Party Pup - Cracking Christmas" and can be found here if you would like one.  It has also been coloured in with my promarkers using Poppy, Caramel, Sandstone, Gold and Pastel Blue.

The poinsettia's have been cut using the mini poinsettia dies from the Marianne collection of dies and have been cut out using glitter card.

I have used one of my craftwork card greetings for this card as I thought it worked well with this card.

Challenge 45 - Tiets Sketch

Well another day and another challenge card.  I seem to have neglected my blog over the past week this is mainly due to getting everything ready for Amy's funeral for Thursday, but just to keep me sane I have managed to make this challenge card as I loved the Sketch and the Autumn theme.

I definitely think I have achieved the autumn theme as I have manage to find some papers in the depths of my craft room called Abstract Prints which are from Dovecraft full of lovely browns, rich reads, warm oranges and yellows.

The card is an easel card with a difference, as I was over on the Score-pal website and found a little tutorial that was for an easel card with draws and I have been meaning to have a go at one of these for a while.  I think it is great for putting little chocolates in or small items of jewellery.  The draws were made out of the same paper that I have decorated the top of the easel in and the draw pulls are card candy.

I have chosen to use a pre-made sentiment from Craftwork cards which was originally white and because I wanted it to blend in with my card I have coloured it in with my mustard promarker which I thought worked quite well.

The image I chose to use is called "Elise" and can be found here at funky kits.  I have coloured her in with my promarkers using Blush, Honeycomb, Oatmeal, Mustard and Poppy.

My final greeting that has been put on the outside of the easel card once again was not the right colour for this theme so I have coloured it in with my Mustard promarker again.  I cannot tell you where this greeting is from as I have had them for years and have only just started to use them.

Outside of Order of Service for our daughter Amy

Evening everyone

Well I am sure that most of you know that our baby daughter Amy was born asleep on the 25th August.  We allowed the hospital to do a full post mortem which was supposed to take 2 weeks but it took just over 4 weeks to get her back.  We have now had a date for her funeral which will take place on Thursday 14th October.

I decided that I would like to design her order of service and chose the Sleeping Baby Tilda stamp, a marianne die and a spellbinders die and this is what I came up with.

I have coloured the image with my promarkers in the following colours, Dusky pink, Ivory, Blush and Vanilla.

The poem was sent to me by my friend Rachel who found it on the internet and thought it fit the occasion quite well.

LOTV - Challenge 67 - Sketch by Bev

Evening everyone

Here is my entry for the LOTV challenge (Bev's Sketch)

The image I have used us called "Collecting the Tree" and can be purchased here.  Thank  you Bev for a wonderful sketch.  The papers are from craft creations and were a bargain at 35p for 12 x 12.

I have used memento Tuxedo black to stamp the image and my promarkers to colour it in.

The greeting is from my stash and I think they are from Crafty bits but I have had them for a while and cannot really remember.

I have cut the snowflake from one of the new Marianne dies and decorated it using little sircle glittered peeloffs.

The snowflakes that are on either side of the card have been punched out of spellbinders premium foil in gold using one of my snowflake punches.
