A Trio of butterflies

Evening all

Thought I would share with you a card that I have made using a Kanban stamp set called A trio of butterflies.

As I have said above the butterfly stamp is an A5 stamp set from Kanban and is called "A Trio of Butterflies" I managed to get my set of Ebay for £4.95 which was not a bad price to pay for such a gorgeous stamp.  The swirls stamp below is also a Kanban A5 stamp set the same price as the butterflies one and again was purchased from Ebay.

I have cut the butterflies to 9cm x 9.5cm as the stamp itself is not square and distressed it with the Tea dye distress ink.  Believe it or not the card colours are from one of the packs of card that Lidl sell occasionally for £1.99 for 25 sheets of different colour card.  Its weight is 270gsm and works well for layering as well as for a good sturdy card base.

I have tried to match the inside of the card to the outside and think it has worked quite well.

Thank you for visiting my blog and any comments would be gratefully appreciated.

A Couple of Quick Christmas cards

Well it seems that I have neglected my blog since I have started back to work and my card making so here are a couple of cards I made last night.  I hope you like them.

My first card has been made using Kanban black glitter card, Kanban snowman stamped image from the Winter Wonderland collection and the snowflake border has been punched using the EK for success snowflake deep border punch.

A word of warning if purchasing one of these punches make sure that the snowflake that sticks out cuts out properly as the first stamp I purchased had a chunk of metal missing so it wasn't cutting properly.  When I took it back to the shop and we went through the rest of the punches there was another like it so there must be a batch that are faulty.

This second card has been made using the same stamp set as above and using the same border punch.  This time I cut the snowflakes out of the side of the card so I have a fancy border and then sponged through to the back of the card with a blue distress ink.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog and for any comments you may like to leave.
