Challenge 44 - Lilians Sketch - Sugar Bowl

Here is my entry for this weeks challenge over at "The Sugar Bowl".  It is a lovely sketch by Lilian.

After sorting through all my Sugar Nellie stamps I decided to ink up the Manga Princess to make this card as it had never been used before and I do think she is sweet.  The card blank I have used is an Ivory one that has been distressed around the edges with the Spun Sugar Distress Ink Pad.  My papers are the free ones from Creative Card Making Issue 17 designed by Craftwork cards.

I have coloured the image with promarkers in the following colours, Skin & Hair in Sandstone and Blush, Headdress and Dress in Ruby and Rose Pink.  The distressing around the image has been done using the Spun Sugar Distress Ink Pad.  If  you would like to buy this stamp it can be found here.

The greeting is one Craftwork Cards and has been mounted onto pink stardream card after being cut using one of the small Petite oval circle nestabilities.

The pearls are by Mark Richards crystal stickers in 3mm Rouge and are curled freehand as they come in long strips (5 to a packet) and can be purchased from most craft shops.

Once again the flower is one of my own hand made flowers and you can find the tutorial on my side bar if you would like to make your own   The foliage has been punched using cream stardream card which goes well with the card.

LOTV - Challenge 66 - Untraditional Christmas

Here is my entry for this weeks challenge.  I decided to do a pink penguin card.

I choose to use the "Igloo for 2" rubber stamp for this challenge and I do think they look adorable in pink.  The papers I have used for this card are called "Silly Chilly" and are made by Cosmo Cricket.

I have coloured the image in with my promarkers (surprise surprise).  The penguins have been coloured in with Rose pink, Pastel pink and Ice grey.  The igloo and the snow have been highlighted with pastel blue and then covered with glitter glue.  The sleigh and presents have been coloured in with Sandstone, Antique pink and pastel pink.

The snowflake as been diecut using two of the Marianne snowflake dies and then layered on top of each other and then decorated with tiny pink circle peeloffs.

I have used a circle Merry Christmas greeting from Craftwork cards which I have coloured in with a pastel pink promarker so that it co-ordinates with the rest of the card and matted onto a piece of pink card that has been cut using a small petite circle nestie.

Week 74 Dawny's Sketch - Magnolia Challenge and Passion for Promarkers Challenge

Morning Everyone

This is my entry for this week challenge for the magnolia challenge amd  a Passion for Promarkers Challenge (Make your own flowers)

The image I believe is called "Loves me" but I am not sure what collection it is from.  The card base and papers are from my stash, unfortunately I cannot remember what the papers are called as I have had them for a long time.

I have coloured her in with my Promarkers, Hair sandstone, face Pastel pink and blush, Arms blush, Outfit and shoes Blue Pearl and flower Ivory and Almond.

The flowers have been handmade by me and if you would like to make your own please see the link for flowers under tutorials on the sidebar.  The heart pins are from wild orchid crafts and the foliage has been punched out of cream stardream card.

The greeting is from Craftwork cards and I have matted it onto some mirror card to give it that little bit of shine.

Class cards

Morning all

I thought I would show you the class card I made on Wednesday using gilding flakes and spellbinders premium foil.

This card has been made uxing the marianne dies and gilding flakes

The greeting is from craftwork cards

I have used varigated red gilding flakes and then mounted onto the main marianne die.

This card has been made using the Spellbinders premium foil, Marianne snowflake dies and  Craftwork cards greeting circles.

The merry christmas greeting that I decided to use.

A close up of the foil that was embossed with one of the cuttlebug snowflake embossing folders.  I used the blue foil and then once embossed used the alcohol blending fluid to take the colour off the foil to reveal the silver below.

PBSC (Penny Black Saturday Challenge) Card

Evening everybody.

After a morning spent at one of my local craft shops (Gifts from the heart) in Aldridge at a christmas demo day, I have finished my entry for this weeks challenge.

I thought I would go with mostly traditional Christmas colours (red and Green) with a little hint of girlie pink.

Snowy has been coloured in with my promarkers and is one of Penny Blacks Slapstick stamps from last year.  I love this image as it is lovely to stamp and use.

The snowflakes have been punched out from a couple of punches I have and been decorated with a couple of Papermania glimmer gems.  This is the same for both sides of the image.

The corner once again has been decorated with three of the Papermania Glimmer gems to add that little bit of sparkle and the embossing folder you can see the cuttlebug snowflake one which I thought only appropriate since I was using a snowman image.

The greeting has been hand stamped and is off one of the personal impressions stamp plates that you can buy at the moment.

LOTV Challenge 65 - Sketch by Lena Katrine

Well another challenge card from me tonight.

The background papers I have used are from DCWV "The christmas printed paper pack which I have had for a few years now and still have plenty left to use.

The image I have used is called "Christmas magic" and can be purchased here.  I have coloured this fantastic image with my promarkers, unfortunately I cannot remember what shades of the colours I have used as I coloured it a few weeks ago.

II have used a few punches to cut the snowflakes on this card which can be seen below and once again have used one of the cuttlebug embossing folders with a holly design on it for the background design.

Another LOTV Christmas Card

Afternoon all, well not another one I here you say but I am trying to make all the images I have coloured recently into cards and it just seems that the ones on the top of my pile are LOTV.

I have used the LOTV stamp "All wrapped Up" and can be purchased here.  The papers once again are from my DCWV "The Christmas printed paper pack" unfortunately I do not know if you can still buy this pack as I have had it for a couple of years and only just started to use it.

 I  have coloured this delightful image in with my promarkers in Oatmeal, Honeycomb blush and sandstone with the addition of a little glitter using a stardust pen.

The embossing folder is another one of the cuttlebug ones from provocraft but unfortunately I cannot find it anywhere for sale..

LOTV Christmas card No 2

Well, I think I am on a role today.  Here is my second card for today and I think you may see a few more yet.

I do think that this a little to bright but I wanted to do something with the paper in the DCWV "The Christmas printed paper pack".  The image again is from LOTV and can be found here and is called "James Bear - Trapped in Tinsel", isn't he sweet.

The image has been coloured with my promarkers and the tinsel has been attacked with fine glitter glue (just to give a little bit of sparkle).

I have used the bauble embossing folder from provocraft which is lovely and can be found here.  The card once again is out of my card pack that I purchased from Lidl (I know, not a place you expect to buy card from but it is worth a visit when they get this card in, very good value for money)

I hope this card works as I am still undecided.

LOTV Christmas card

Morning everyone.

Well it is still morning and I have actually made a card instead of stamping lots of images and just sitting and colouring them in.

I have used "igloo for two" stamp from Lili of the Valley which you can buy from here, it is a wonderful stamp to use and so easy to colour.  The image has been coloured in with my promarkers to give a professional finish.

The card I have used is 270gsm and is from the pack I purchased from Lidl (25 different coloured sheets for £1.99) It is a good card weight for making base cards and is lovely to work with.  The paper I have used is from DCWV " The Christmas printed paper pack" and of course I have covered most of the igloo and snow with glitter glue just to give that little bit of sparkle.

Challenge No 64 - One for the boys - Lili of the Valley

This is my entry for this weeks challenge.

The image I have used is called "Lazy Afternoon" and can be purchased here Lili of the Valley Shop I have coloured the image with my promarkers.

The main base of the card is card I purchased from Lidl you get 25 sheets of card all different colours which is larger than A4 but smaller than A3 and has a weight of 270gsm.  I could not believe the quality of this card when I first purchased some especially when it was only £1.99 per pack.  The silver mirri board and paper was from my stash and the embellished with card candy.

Sweetie search - My Entry

Well after checking all of the challenges I usually enter, I spotted the post for the sweetie search and I must say I do fancy the job so here is my take on the sketch.  I do hope you enjoy looking at my card and good luck to everyone else who enters.

My biggest challenge for this card was to decide which image I should use (as I do have a few Stamps to chose from) and I finally decided to use "First Dance" part of the Home Grown collection and can be found here (Home Grown Collection - First Dance).

All the card used in this project is Stardream Card in Cream and gold.  I have made an easel card which is 14.5cm square.

The image was stamped with memento ink and has been coloured in with promarkers using Cool grey 5, cool grey 3, Cocoa, Black, Pastel Pink, Ivory and Blush.  Cuttlebug embossing folders used are Swiss Dots and Roses.

The flowers I have used are ones that have been hand made by me as I could not get the colours I wanted.  These flowers were coloured using the spice marmalade distress ink.  If you would like to make these flowers yourself please see the link on my sidebar for the flower tutorial.

The sentiment used is from The Greeting Farm and is included on their wedding set which I also think is called Happily Ever After.

Wedding blessing cards

Just a quick post to show you the 6 and yes I said 6 blessing cards that I made for the same couple.  They were all ordered by a friend so that her friends and family could give them some cards in the colour scheme they had chosen.

Card No 1.  

Glittered peel off backed with gold leaf flakes, mounted onto stardream card and gold mirri board.  The embossing folder is the new Crafts Too small hearts.  Sentiment printed from computer.

Card No 2.

Again made using Gold and Cream stardream card, heart punched using woodware punch, pearl gems, heart embellisment and ribbon from stash

Card No 3.

Made using Cream stardream card and fold Mirri board.  Gems used are papermania gold shimmer dots, Embossing folder is Scrollwork from provocraft and shapes cut around picture were cut using my nestabilities.

Card No 4

Made using Gold mirri board, gold stardream and cream stardream card.  Made using my bookatrix board, gems used are papermainia irridesent and gold shimmer dots, oval shapes cut using my nestabilities, ribbon from stash and a diamante ribbon slider.

Card No 5

Easel card made using cream stardream and muted gold card, embossing folders Swiss dots and Scroll by Provocraft for the cuttlebug, flowers hand made by me and coloured using distress inks, ovals cut using nestabilites, the leaves behind the flowers were cut using various punches I have and the border on which the sentiment has been mounted onto is a Martha Stewart border punch

Card No 6.

Once again card used is stardream gold and cream, embossing folder used is the swiss dots from provocraft and the image is from the Church plate the U-mount stamps and has been embossed with pale god embossing powder.
