LOTV - Challenge 82 - Anything but a square

Evening all

Here is my card for this weeks challenge.

Well it's definitely not square.  I cut the card base with one of the Marianne circle frame dies and for a change I have gone for a lilac card instead of pink or red.

My image is called "It's my party" and can be purchased here.  I  have coloured her in with promarkers and matted the image onto silver Mirri card.

The flowers are paper flowers from my stash and the centre of the middle flower has been embellished with a papermainia velvet brad.

Sugar nellie challenge card I forgot to enter

Hi All

This is a card I forgot to upload for the Sugar Nellie challenge last week.

Base card measures 14.5cm square and is 170 gsm, lovely for a base card.

The image I have chosen to use is called "Elise" from Funky kits.  She has been coloured it in with promarkers.

The papers are from papermania and are can be found in the pack called "Summer Bloom".

I used some of my little red heart gems from my stash to decorate the corners.

My greeting is one from Craftwork cards as I seem to have loads of these at the moment.

Another view of the card.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog and for any comments you may like to leave and I can't believe I forgot to enter this card.

Bah! Humbug - Challenge 3 - Christmas Crackers

Well I think tonight is the night for uploading as this is my 3rd upload tonight and I think I still have one more challenge card to upload after this one.

So here is my entry for this weeks challenge.

I think this is becoming one of my favourite shapes for my cards and it is so easy to do.  It  has been cut using 270gsm card with the Marianne Circle die No112 which easily cuts through both pieces of card. The circle mats have been cut using circle nestabilities in silver mirror card and white super smooth stamping card.

The image I have chosen is another Lili of the Valley stamp (I think I am addicted to these at the moment), it is called "James Bear - Christmas Cracker" and can be found here.  I have coloured the image with my promarkers.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog and for any comments you may like to leave.

A Couple of competition cards

Afternoon all

I decided to enter a couple of competitions in one of the latest magazine and as I could not find anywhere that says I cannot upload them to my blog here they are: -

Card One - A Spring Themed Card

The competition was to design a spring themed card so I decided to go with oranges and yellows as this reminds me of spring when the daffodils come out to play.  The card I have used is 270g and I have used the same weight card for the mats as well.

My image is from penny black and is a slap stick stamp and I have coloured it in with my promarkers.

The paper flowers are from my stash  and have been layered up to give that dimensional feel to them.

I have used some rainbow drop (well thats what I think they are called) to give a little bling to the card.

My side way view of the card.

Card Two - A Wedding Anniversary Themed Card.

The second competition was to design a wedding anniversary card and here is my creation.

I have cut my base card using one of the marianne circle frames (I think it is number 112) and it cuts easily through a 270g card folded in two.

Another view of the card.

My flowers once again are from my stash and have been kept together with some glass brads.

The image is Together Forever from Lili of the Valley and has been coloured in with Faber Castel Polychromos pencils.

Also the anniversary greeting is from Lili of the Valley and has been coloured in with my promarkers.

I hope you have enjoyed visiting my blog today and looking at the cards I have made.

Tilda challenge card for 15-28 Jan over on Docrafts.

Hello everyone

Here is a card that I have made for this weeks Tilda challenge over on docrafts.

Our challenge was to include something red, so I decided to do as much of the card in red as I possibly could.

I decided to use the Tilda image with the Lady Bug as I thought she was really sweet.  She has also been coloured in with promarkers.

The flowers I have used are paper flowers and are either 1 flower already made up or a few flowers stuck together.

My sentiment is off one of the See D's collection of stamps which has quite a few birthday sentiments in the collection.

The embossing folder used is from sizzix and I think it is called swirls and hearts.

Finally a sideways view of my card.

Card for Week 4 Christmas Challenge over on Do-Crafts.

Evening All

Here is my card for the Challenge running over on Do-crafts that Snoflake is doing for Christmas.

I have used the new Marianne Creatables Circle 112 die to cut the base layer of this card and using the card in this case 270g card folded in half the die cut through it with ease.

I have used one of the Lili of the Valley christmas stamps called "James Bear Wrapped in Tinsel" and can be found here.  It has been coloured in with promarkers and glittered with my sakura clear star pen.

Poinsettia flowers from my stash.

A sideways look at my card.

Bah Humbug - Challenge 2 - Using Stencils

Evening All

Well this week I was determined not to miss the deadline for this challenge.  I seem to have a thing for this little angel from Lili of the Valley as she is so cute and only another 3 stamps to get (lol)

I have had this snowflake stencil for a few months now and have not used it until today and I thought it fit this challenge very well.

The stencil was placed on top of blue colour core co-ordinations card and I have inked through the stencil with my Broken China distress ink pad, which gives a lovely subtle pattern of snowflakes.

The image once again is from Lili of the Valley (I seem to be addicted to these stamps at the moment) and has been coloured in with my promarkers.

I have used some organza ribbon in baby blue for a little decoration.

And finally the greeting I have used is from (Yes you have guessed right) Lili of the Valley and is off one of their 12 Greeting set for christmas.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog and for any comments you may like to leave.

Sketch Saturday Week 138

Morning All,

Here is my entry for this weeks challenge, I hope you like it!

Above is the sketch we had to follow, I hope that I have done it justice.  I think it suited a male card more than a Girlie card.

My  card measures 14.5cm square and I have definitely gone down the blue route.  The papers I have used are the free ones from "Creative Cardmaking Magazine".

The stars have been cut by using my one and only star punch.

I have used the Skater Boy stamp from the Greeting Farm range of stamps (Isn't he cute).

My greeting is from one of the See D's collection of stamps.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog and for any comments you may like to leave.

Snoflake's Christmas Challenge Card Wk 3 (On Do-crafts)

Morning all

I thought I would share today the card I have made for a weekly christmas challenge that is running over on Do-crafts.

The card base has been cut using 270 gram card and stands up really well.  Because of the simplicity of this card it only took about 30 minutes to make as there is not a lot of room to add an image once the main part of the card is cut.  I think this card is nearer to an A6 size card so it is not very big but it is effective if you have a lot of cards to make.

I thought I would show you the Marianne frame that I used to make the base card as it is gorgeous and it went through 2 layers of card very easily.

It is a Sugar Neillie stamp and can be purchased from Funky kits (I can't put a link for the stamp as it is out of stock at the moment).

My little greeting stamp is from cuddly buddly and comes in a set of 4 and can be found here.

I have taken a top picture so that you can see that the Marianne frame cuts straight through both layers of the card.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog and for any comments you may like to leave.

Happy Crafting.
